I disagree with the first comment. America is great (it is a superpower afterall) because America is good (which points to the values of the citizens that made it this way). Our soldiers have fought and died to bring freedom and liberty to oppressed people around the world. I would say that the initial statement is true however as we travel down a path where people are less reliant on their neighbors and more on government entities, we are ceasing to be great. I'm sorry to say that the days where men enlisted in the army to prevent an oppressive regime like the 3rd Reich from exterminating an entire race. Instead we have a bunch of pansies who believe that we should negotiate with a person who was wiping out a race of people called the Kurds. As a Jaywalking experiment, someone should just ask the average man on the street what a Kurd is. |
