Bees that Live in the Ground

What kind of bees live in the ground?

Lots of varieties of bee live in the ground. For the most part, though, they tend to be more aggressive than other kinds of bees like honey bees. Particularly hornets and yellow jackets (actually a form of wasp) can be found living in the ground. If you encounter a hive of stinging insect, it is usually best to call a professional exterminator to deal with them rather than risking it yourself.
